Privacy-conscious Transparent Cookie Use

At FreeConnect, we use a limited set of browser and server technologies to operate freeconnect.io. This policy explains the cookies and third-party resources that may be involved when you use the website.

Current Launch Configuration

The launch package does not include advertising pixels or behavioral analytics trackers. A short-lived essential session cookie may be created when you submit a website form for anti-abuse and rate-limiting purposes.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website can store in your browser. They can support essential functions, remember preferences, measure usage, or support advertising depending on how a site is configured.

2. Cookies We Currently Use

Essential Session Cookie

When you submit certain forms, the server may create a PHP session cookie. It is used for basic abuse prevention, such as limiting repeated submissions within a few seconds. This cookie is not used for advertising or cross-site behavioral profiling.

We do not intentionally set analytics or marketing cookies in the launch package. If that changes, we will update this policy and use an appropriate consent mechanism where required by law.

3. Third-Party Website Resources

The website currently loads some presentation resources from third-party providers. Loading these resources can cause your browser to make a request to those providers, which may expose technical information such as your IP address and user agent. These resources are not used by FreeConnect as advertising trackers in the launch package.

  • Google Fonts: Used to load the Poppins typeface. Google Privacy Policy
  • jsDelivr: Used to deliver the Bootstrap Icons stylesheet. jsDelivr Privacy Policy
  • Local compiled CSS: The public website uses a locally generated stylesheet for production styling.

4. Analytics and Advertising Technologies

Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Google Ads remarketing, and similar marketing technologies are not enabled in the launch package reviewed for this release. If we enable non-essential analytics or advertising technologies in the future, we will update this policy and, where legally required, ask for consent before those technologies are activated.

5. Managing Cookies

You can view, block, or delete cookies using your browser settings. Blocking essential session cookies may affect website form anti-abuse behavior but should not prevent you from reading public website content.

6. Future Changes

We may add or change website tools as FreeConnect develops. Before enabling material non-essential tracking, we will review the relevant privacy and consent requirements. We will also update this page when our cookie practices materially change.
